RORY WILLIAMSON

Rory has worked as a Writer, Director, Producer and Actor.

After graduating from NIDA, Rory Williamson embarked on a career spanning film, television, and theatre here in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Over the years, he has captivated audiences with standout roles in acclaimed tv productions like Underbelly, Paper Giants, Dynasty the Making of A Guilty Pleasure, All Saints, Water Rats, Police Rescue, Shortland Street, and Home and Away.

Beyond acting, Rory has also made his mark as a producer, notably with the award-winning documentary That Sugar Film, which garnered widespread acclaim.

In addition to writing short films and plays, Rory has also written for television including Home and Away and Winners and Losers.

His enduring collaboration with Janneke began with their Tropfest film A Family Legacy in 2006, marking the start of a successful and long-lasting creative partnership.

JANNEKE WILLIAMSON

Recent winner of ShowdownMAX along with her co-creator Charlotte Carr for their 30 minute caper comedy series The Carers, Janneke has been working with Ludo in development for the series.

Janneke is mad for a good story and has built a diverse career over the past 25 years, working as a director, editor, producer, and actor across film, TV, commercials & brand stories in both Australia and the US.

Starting out in the edit suite back in the 90s, Janneke initially focused on editing, she later moved into directing and producing.

Earlier projects include producing and editing the feature Jimmy Tennison with Felix Williamson and NIDA in 2009. More recent projects include online series Two Blue Lines which she created and directed achieving success online & festivals worldwide. She also directed the award-winning short film The Stripper Trade Off written by Stephen Walker and edited a documentary A Wake with Catherine Mack in 2023.

In 2024, Janneke produced 5 scripted short films by the Sunny Coast Showdown and also directed The Hoist, winning Best Film and People's Choice award. All films have all gone on to tour the festival circuit.

The Hoist was part of the official selection for Flickerfest for 2025 and also was selected for the best of Flickerfest National tour and continues to tour festivals worldwide.

Janneke is currently in development with her first feature film Odd Man Out based on the David Williamson play.
